1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using TaxScope AI ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
By using TaxScope AI, you acknowledge:
- This Service provides tax education and information
- This Service does NOT file returns, prepare documents, or represent you before the IRS
- You will work with a licensed CPA, EA, or tax attorney for filing and representation
- AI can make mistakes — verify important information with your tax professional
- You are responsible for your own tax decisions
2. Service Description
About TaxScope AI: TaxScope AI provides tax education, information, and guidance to help you understand tax concepts, deductions, and strategies. We help you get informed before working with your licensed tax professional.
The Service provides:
- Tax education and information
- Guidance on tax concepts, deductions, and strategies
- Answers to questions about how taxes work
- Information to help you prepare for CPA meetings
The Service does NOT provide:
- Tax return filing or preparation
- Document preparation for filing
- Representation before the IRS or any tax authority
- Audit defense services
🔬 BETA PRODUCT: This AI tax information tool is currently in BETA testing. Responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, or "hallucinations" (plausible-sounding but incorrect information). The AI may misinterpret questions or provide irrelevant information. Features may change or be removed without notice. This tool is experimental. DO NOT rely on this tool for actual tax decisions.
3. No Professional Relationship
Your use of this Service does NOT create any professional relationship, including but not limited to:
- CPA-client relationship
- Attorney-client relationship
- Enrolled Agent-client relationship
- Accountant-client relationship
- Any other professional-client relationship
The information provided through the Service is general in nature and may not apply to your specific circumstances. You acknowledge that:
- Tax law is complex and highly fact-specific
- Your individual circumstances may significantly affect tax outcomes
- Tax laws change frequently and information may become outdated
- AI-generated responses may contain errors or inaccuracies
- You MUST consult a qualified, licensed tax professional for advice specific to your situation
4. No Reliance — User Responsibilities
You agree NOT to rely on any information provided by this site or AI tool when making tax decisions. You are solely responsible for:
- Verifying ALL information obtained through the Service with official IRS sources (IRS.gov) and qualified professionals before relying on it
- Consulting with qualified, licensed tax professionals for your specific situation
- Making your own tax decisions and ensuring your own tax compliance
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Understanding that this is an educational tool, not a substitute for professional advice
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Use the Service to transmit malware or harmful code
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Copy, modify, or distribute Service content without authorization
- Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
- Resell or commercially exploit the Service without authorization
5. Subscription Terms
5.1 Plans and Pricing
We offer multiple subscription tiers with different question allowances and features. Current plans and pricing are displayed on our website and may be updated from time to time.
5.2 Question Allowances
Each subscription plan includes a monthly question allowance. Your question count resets on each billing date. Unused questions do not roll over to the next month. Some plans include overage billing for questions beyond your monthly allowance.
5.3 Free Trial
New users may be eligible for a free trial period. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.
5.4 Billing
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the billing cycle you select. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees associated with your subscription, including any overage charges for questions exceeding your monthly allowance.
5.5 Automatic Renewal
Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. The renewal price will be the then-current price for your subscription tier.
5.6 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will provide notice of any price changes before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
6. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting us at [email protected].
Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period
- You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods
- No refunds will be provided for partial billing periods
- Your access to the Service will terminate at the end of your paid period
We do not charge cancellation fees. You may cancel at any time without penalty.
7. Refund Policy
All subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. We do not provide refunds for:
- Partial months or unused portions of your subscription
- Downgrading to a lower-tier plan
- Cancellation before the end of your billing period
In exceptional circumstances, refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by TaxScope AI and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any Service content without our prior written consent.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE. WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES ABOUT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, OR APPLICABILITY OF ANY INFORMATION.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- The results obtained from the Service will be accurate, complete, or reliable
- The quality of information will meet your expectations
- Any errors in the Service will be corrected
- The AI will not produce incorrect or misleading information
- The information reflects current tax law
Information provided through the Service is for educational purposes only and should NOT be relied upon as professional tax advice. 10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AI TAX ADVISOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
- Any content obtained from the Service
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
- Any tax decisions you make based on information from the Service
- Any penalties, interest, or additional taxes assessed against you
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TaxScope AI and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or relating to:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your tax decisions and compliance
12. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
15. Dispute Resolution and Class Action Waiver

15.1 Binding Arbitration
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Wilmington, Delaware, or another location mutually agreed upon.
15.2 Class Action Waiver
YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. You expressly waive your right to participate as a plaintiff or class member in any class action lawsuit, class-wide arbitration, private attorney general action, or any other representative proceeding against TaxScope AI.
15.3 Opt-Out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement and class action waiver by sending written notice to [email protected] within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. If you opt out, you and TaxScope AI agree to resolve any disputes exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware.
15.4 Small Claims Exception
Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within the court's jurisdictional limits.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TaxScope AI regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
